Cartesianism

James Randi’s current sceptical blog entry has a rather nice joke that I hadn’t heard before. Perhaps it’s common tender in cartesian circles (x^2 + y^2 = c):

Descartes is at a bar. The bartender asks him: “Will you have another beer?”

Descartes answers: “I think not.” And vanishes.
